RAF Chinook Helicopter Kings Birthday Flypast June 2025 Photo Print
A Chinook of the Royal Air Force flies low across open English farmland on 14 June 2025, on its way to the flypast for the King's official birthday. The close three-quarter rear view shows the rear engine exhaust, the open rear ramp with crew inside and a crewman at the forward cabin door, with fields, hedgerows and a line of pylons stretching behind. Both rotors are blurred in motion.
Four Chinooks led the 2025 formation over London, two from 27 Squadron and two from 18(B) Squadron, both based at RAF Odiham in Hampshire. The RAF has flown the Chinook since the early 1980s, using it to move troops, guns and underslung loads, and for casualty evacuation. Its tandem rotors let it lift heavy loads without a tail rotor, which makes its outline hard to mistake.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
