RAF 617 Squadron F-35B Lightning ZM159 Iceland August 2024 Photo Print
Royal Air Force F-35B Lightning ZM159, code 025, of 617 Squadron stands on wet concrete in front of a hardened aircraft shelter in Iceland on 5 August 2024, just after flying in from RAF Marham for NATO air policing. The fin carries the squadron's lightning flash, a missile hangs beneath the outer wing with red safety streamers attached, and rain falls from a low grey sky over the airfield.
617 Squadron, the Dambusters, re-formed in 2018 as the first British front-line squadron to fly the F-35B, and brought its jets home to RAF Marham that summer. This deployment was the first time British F-35s had taken part in a NATO air policing mission. Iceland has no air force of its own, so allied nations take turns to send fighters to guard its airspace from Keflavik.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
