RAF 1419 Flight Merlin HC3 Over Basra March 2009 Photo Print
A Royal Air Force Merlin HC3 of 1419 (Tactical Support) Flight flies low over flat desert on the edge of Basra, Iraq, on 24 March 2009, with the buildings of the city on the horizon to the left. The pilot is looking out towards the camera, the cabin door behind the cockpit is open and the letter F is painted on the rear fuselage. The sky above is overcast.
1419 Flight was brought back at Basra from elements of 28 and 78 Squadrons at RAF Benson. It flew the Merlin on Operation Telic, then moved to Afghanistan for Operation Herrick after British forces left Iraq, and was disbanded in 2013. The Merlin HC3 entered RAF service with 28 Squadron in 2001. The RAF's Merlins were later handed over to the Royal Navy's Commando Helicopter Force.
This print is ideal for Merlin crews from 28 and 78 Squadrons and anyone who served at Basra on Operation Telic.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
