RAF Red Arrows and Typhoon Moggy D-Day 80 Flypast June 2024 Photo Print
Hawk T1 jets of the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, fly alongside the Typhoon Display Team's FGR4 "Moggy" off the Normandy coast on 6th June 2024. Seen air to air from within the formation, five Hawks trail red, white and blue smoke across the top of the frame, while the Typhoon holds the centre in its wartime style camouflage with black and white invasion stripes and the code letters FM-G. Two more Hawks fill the foreground, their Union Flag tail fins carrying the "60" marking of the team's 60th display season, with the sea and a hazy sky behind. The formation was part of the flypast for the UK's national commemoration of the 80th anniversary of D-Day, held at the British Normandy Memorial at Ver-sur-Mer.
The Red Arrows flew their first display season in 1965 with the Folland Gnat and have flown the BAE Systems Hawk T1 since the 1980 season, making 2024 their 60th year of displays. The team is based at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire. The Typhoon display aircraft for 2024 was painted in a D-Day scheme to represent a Hawker Typhoon of 257 Squadron, one of the ground attack squadrons that supported the landings in June 1944, and was nicknamed "Moggy" by the team.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
