RAF Red Arrows Hawk XX311 Gnat XR992 Close Up March 2024 Photo Print
Red Arrows Hawk T1 XX311 of the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team flies in close company with former Royal Air Force Folland Gnat XR992 above a sea of white cloud over Lincolnshire on 8th March 2024. The two jets marked the start of the team’s 60th display season. In this tight frame the Hawk fills the lower half of the picture, heading left, with both crew visible under the canopy, ROYAL AIR FORCE along the fuselage, and the 60 Diamond Season marking beside the roundel and on the Union flag fin. Above and just behind her, the yellow Gnat banks steeply to show her underside, the serial and roundels on her wings, and a faint trace of smoke, with one wing tucked in close behind the Hawk’s canopy.
Between them, these two types have carried the Red Arrows through their whole history. The Gnat flew with the team for its first fifteen seasons. The Hawk took over in 1980 and has now flown with the Red Arrows for well over four decades, nearly three times as long as its predecessor. A sortie like this one, with both types in the air together, has become a rare sight.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
