RAF Red Arrows Hawks City of London Coronation May 2023 Photo Print
Hawk T1 jets of the Red Arrows, the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, fly in very close formation over the City of London on 6th May 2023, in the flypast for the Coronation of King Charles III. Photographed from only a few feet away, the nearest Hawk fills the frame with her starboard side towards the camera. Her “Royal Air Force” lettering and roundel are bold against the red paint, and white helmets are visible under the canopy. A second Hawk flies tucked in just above and behind her, and the Union flag fins of two more rise beyond. On the right, the Gherkin and the Shard stand out from the towers of the City under a grey, misty sky.
Before it became the Red Arrows’ display aircraft, the Hawk was the RAF’s main fast jet trainer. Student pilots learned advanced flying on it at RAF Valley in Anglesey, then moved on to weapons training at the Tactical Weapons Units at RAF Brawdy and RAF Chivenor before joining front-line squadrons. Generations of RAF fast jet pilots, including those who later flew with the Red Arrows, learned their trade in the Hawk.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
