RAF Typhoon FGR4 Polish F-16 Swedish Gripen Op Chessman June 2025 Photo Print
Three fighters from three air forces fly in close formation over open sea on 11 June 2025: a Polish Air Force F-16 in a grey and white special scheme, tail number 4047, closest to the camera, a Royal Air Force Typhoon with 377 on its fin in the middle, and a Swedish Gripen, number 264, furthest away. All three carry missiles, and a small ship leaves a wake on the water far below. The photographer flew in a Polish C-295M during an air-to-air photo sortie from 22 Tactical Air Base, Malbork, while the RAF was in Poland on Operation Chessman.
Operation Chessman was the RAF's 2025 contribution to NATO's enhanced Air Policing in Poland, with Typhoons and ground crew of 140 Expeditionary Air Wing working from Malbork in the north of the country. Under this mission allied fighters stand ready alongside the host nation's own jets to guard NATO airspace. The same sortie also brought a Polish MiG-29 and two Swedish Gripens alongside the Typhoon.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
