RAF 3 Squadron Typhoon FGR4 Climbing Out Romania 2026 Photo Print
A single Royal Air Force Typhoon FGR4 of 3 (Fighter) Squadron climbs in a gentle bank against a smooth blue-grey sky in Romania in 2026, during the squadron's deployment from RAF Coningsby to Borcea Air Base. The tail code 311 and the roundel stand out on the grey airframe, with a large fuel tank under the belly, further tanks and missiles on the wing pylons, and the pilot visible in the cockpit.
3 (Fighter) Squadron traces its origins to 13 May 1912, when it formed as part of the Royal Flying Corps, making it one of the oldest military flying units in the world. In 2006 it became the first front-line RAF squadron to fly the Typhoon, re-forming on the type at Coningsby. In 2026 its aircraft went to Romania to open a four-month British turn at NATO air policing on the alliance's eastern flank.

We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
