RFA Bayleaf A109 Leaf Class Tanker September 2004 Photo Print
RFA Bayleaf (A109), a Royal Fleet Auxiliary Leaf Class tanker, steams alongside the United States Navy destroyer USS Preble in the Gulf of Oman on 19 September 2004, photographed from Preble's deck during a refuelling at sea. Her port side fills the frame with BAYLEAF painted at the bow, a row of containers stowed amidships, a line running across the gap between the two ships and a thin trail of funnel smoke drifting aft under a hazy sky. The American destroyer's mast and superstructure rise on the right.
For seven years in the 2000s Bayleaf was the Arabian Gulf Ready Tanker, staying on station East of Suez to keep British and coalition warships fuelled without long passages to port. She was finally relieved in that role by the newer RFA Wave Knight in 2008.
This print is ideal for Royal Fleet Auxiliary veterans, those who served in Bayleaf during her long years in the Gulf and anyone with a connection to USS Preble or allied replenishment work in the region.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
