RFA Gold Rover A271 Rover Class Tanker During A RAS Photo Print
RFA Gold Rover (A271), a Royal Fleet Auxiliary Rover Class tanker, is nearest the camera in this high aerial view while a fuel hose loops across the gap to a Royal Navy frigate keeping station beside her during a replenishment at sea. Both ships push out white bow waves on a lightly ruffled sea under a hazy sky, and small groups of sailors can be made out on the frigate's upper deck. The date of the photograph is not known.
Fuelling warships under way was the reason the Rover Class existed, and Gold Rover could supply more than one ship at a time; in June 2001 in the West Indies she refuelled HMS Sheffield and the Dutch frigate HNLMS Van Amstel together, and in 2007 she carried out a replenishment with the Type 42 destroyer HMS Edinburgh.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
