RFA Olwen A122 Ol Class Tanker Photo Print
RFA Olwen (A122), Royal Fleet Auxiliary Ol Class fast fleet tanker, shown in full profile along her starboard side in an aerial view taken around 1982. A helicopter sits on her after flight deck, a row of replenishment gantries lines the main deck, and her pennant number is painted just forward of amidships. Low mist hides the horizon over a choppy, white-capped sea.
Olwen was built by Hawthorn Leslie at Hebburn on the Tyne and launched on 10 July 1964 as RFA Olynthus. She was renamed Olwen in 1967 to avoid confusion with the submarine HMS Olympus. Her flight deck and hangar allowed her to carry up to three Wessex or Sea King helicopters, and in 1993 she operated two Sea Kings of 820 Naval Air Squadron while supporting HMS Ark Royal in the Adriatic during Operation Grapple.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
