RFA Wave Ruler A390 Wave Class Tanker February 2004 Sea Trials Photo Print
RFA Wave Ruler (A390), a Royal Fleet Auxiliary Wave Class tanker, is photographed from the air almost dead ahead, driving straight at the camera with a white bow wave curling away on both sides. Every detail of her fo'c'sle is laid out below, from the anchor windlasses and bollards to the replenishment rigs and the tall bridge block beyond. The photograph is dated 10 February 2004, and she is running across calm water under a clear, hazy sky.
Wave Ruler was built on the Clyde at Govan, launched on 9 February 2001 and accepted into Royal Fleet Auxiliary service on 27 April 2003. She and her sister Wave Knight were ordered to replace the elderly 1960s tankers Olna and Olwen. Like every RFA ship she is manned by civilian merchant mariners of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary rather than the Royal Navy.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
