42 Commando Royal Marines Fast Rope Onto HMS Richmond June 2025 Photo Print
Taken from inside the helicopter cabin, this photo looks down past a Royal Marine of 42 Commando as he fast ropes onto the flight deck of the frigate HMS Richmond on 11 June 2025, during Operation Highmast. Another marine is already crossing the deck below, a flight deck crewman in a yellow helmet is signalling, and more of the team wait in the open hangar.
HMS Richmond is a Type 23 frigate and sailed with the UK Carrier Strike Group on Operation Highmast in 2025. Landing a team onto a frigate's small flight deck is exactly the kind of skill 42 Commando needs in its maritime operations role. The unit also served in Helmand, Afghanistan, before it changed role in 2017.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
