47 Commando Royal Marines Wading Surf Tregantle February 2025 Photo Print
Three Royal Marines of 47 Commando Raiding Group wade out into the breaking surf at Tregantle Beach in East Cornwall on 6 February 2025, their reflections laid out on the wet sand in the foreground. Backlit by a pale sky, the three helmeted marines walk away from the camera towards the waves during surf drills, training alongside elements of 40 Commando.
47 Commando first formed in August 1943 and fought on the island of Walcheren in November 1944, one of the hardest amphibious assaults of the war in north-west Europe. Disbanded after the war, the title returned in 2019 when 1 Assault Group Royal Marines was renamed 47 Commando (Raiding Group) Royal Marines. Based at RM Tamar in Devonport, the unit is the home of the Corps' landing craft and small boat work.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
