30 Commando Royal Marines Shore Reconnaissance February 2022 Photo Print
Two Royal Marines of the Shore Reconnaissance Team, from 30 Commando's Surveillance and Reconnaissance Squadron, kneel back to back on a pebble shore with carbines raised, covering both ways along the water's edge. Large black waterproof bags sit beside them, snow-covered hills rise across the fjord, and the sun breaks through cloud behind. The photograph was taken on 17 February 2022 at Ramsund in northern Norway during Winter Deployment 22.
30 Commando Information Exploitation Group was formed in 2010 at Stonehouse Barracks in Plymouth, bringing together 3 Commando Brigade's surveillance, reconnaissance, intelligence and communications specialists. Its name goes back to 30 Commando of the Second World War, the intelligence-gathering unit conceived by Ian Fleming, who later wrote the James Bond novels. Shore Reconnaissance Teams survey a coastline ahead of a landing and report on the beach, the gradient and any enemy before the main force commits.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
