Royal Navy F-35B Intercepts a Russian Bear Aircraft 2026 Photo Print
A Royal Navy F-35B Lightning from HMS Prince of Wales flies ahead of and below a Russian Tupolev Tu-142 Bear over the Norwegian Sea on 2 July 2026. The big grey patrol aircraft banks across the left of the frame, its contra-rotating propellers and the red star on its fin clear against a plain blue sky, while the dark shape of the British jet sits off to the right.
The Tu-142 was developed from the Tu-95 bomber and first flew in 1968, a long-range maritime reconnaissance and anti-submarine aircraft driven by four turboprop engines, each turning a pair of contra-rotating propellers. On the afternoon of 2 July 2026, after this aircraft had repeatedly approached the carrier, two 809 Naval Air Squadron jets were launched to meet it and escorted it until it left the area.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
