British Army Royal Regiment of Scotland Cruachan III August 2011 Photo Print
Cruachan III, the Shetland pony mascot of The Royal Regiment of Scotland, British Army, walks away from the camera on the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle as a Crossed Swords Piper leaps high beside him, pipes and banner flying, on 24 August 2011. The pair were marking the close of that year's Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, with the castle gatehouse, its carved lion rampant and its statues behind them. The pony wears a green tartan coat edged in gold, while the piper's red tartan plaid swings out behind him in mid-air.
The Royal Regiment of Scotland was formed in 2006, bringing Scotland's historic infantry regiments together under one cap badge. Its Shetland pony mascots continue a line that began in 1929, when Princess Louise presented Cruachan I to the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. The ponies parade on public duties and at the Tattoo, and are cared for by a soldier holding the post of Pony Major.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
