British Army 16 Air Assault Brigade Op Pitting Kabul August 2021 Photo Print
Soldiers of 16 Air Assault Brigade, British Army, fill the hold of an RAF C-17 on arrival in Kabul on 15 August 2021, at the start of Operation Pitting. Seen from above, dozens of troops in helmets and body armour, many with packs and bags, stand shoulder to shoulder between the rows of folded side seats, facing the bright open ramp at the tail of the aircraft.
16 Air Assault Brigade was formed in 1999 from 5 Airborne Brigade and 24 Airmobile Brigade, and served in Iraq in 2003 and in Helmand on several tours. On Operation Pitting it helped hold the evacuation at Hamid Karzai International Airport, from which more than 15,000 people were flown out by British forces. The operation marked the end of the United Kingdom's twenty years in Afghanistan.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
