Royal Marines Yomper Statue With Rising Sun Eastney June 2018 Photo Print
The whole Yomper statue on its stone plinth at Eastney, Portsmouth, photographed on 30 June 2018 with the sun low on the horizon behind the figure's legs. The wide view takes in the grass and railings around the plinth, the tree to the left and the Union Flag flying over the bronze beret against a blue sky.
The figure represents a Royal Marine of 1982, in beret and windproof smock, with an SLR rifle held across his body and his bergen on his back. 3 Commando Brigade, commanded by Brigadier Julian Thompson, went ashore at San Carlos Water on 21 May 1982 and then marched and fought its way east towards Stanley. The statue remembers that campaign and the men who did not come home from it.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
