RAF Vulcan Bombers Waddington Wing Formation 1957 Photo Print
Three Royal Air Force Avro Vulcans of the Waddington Wing fly in close echelon above broken cumulus in 1957, with a patchwork of fields showing through the gaps far below. The air-to-air view looks down on their broad delta wings, finished in anti-flash white, with roundels on the upper surfaces.
RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire was the first home of the Vulcan in squadron service, with 230 Operational Conversion Unit and 83 Squadron forming there on the type in 1956 and 1957. The white finish was chosen to reflect the heat of a nuclear flash, and the V-force held Britain's strategic nuclear deterrent until the Royal Navy's Polaris boats took it over in 1969.
This print is ideal for Waddington veterans, former Vulcan aircrew and ground crew, and anyone with a connection to the V-force.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
