RAF Tornado GR1s Fly Over Kuwait March 1998 Photo Print
Two Tornado GR1s of the Royal Air Force fly over Kuwait on 20 March 1998, the nearer aircraft close to the camera and a second trailing below and behind it. The nearer Tornado carries a large pale sand-coloured fuel tank and other stores beneath it, and both jets are in grey camouflage against a flat, overcast white sky.
Early in 1998, as the dispute over United Nations weapons inspections in Iraq came to a head, the RAF sent a detachment of Tornado GR1s to Ali Al Salem air base in Kuwait. Crews from there flew patrols over the southern no-fly zone, and in December 1998 Tornados of 12 Squadron operating from the same base struck Iraqi air defence sites, airfields and barracks during Operation Desert Fox. The GR1 was the RAF's low-level strike and attack Tornado before the upgraded GR4 replaced it.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
The final frame size and proportions may vary slightly based on the image ratio. Occasionally, frames may need to be a little taller or wider than the chosen size; however, they will never be smaller than the specified dimensions.
