RAF 47 Squadron C-130J Hercules Farewell Pair Over Sea June 2023 Photo Print
Two C-130J Hercules of 47 Squadron fly in close formation low over calm blue sea on 14 June 2023, during the farewell tour that marked the end of the type's Royal Air Force service. The aircraft lower in the frame wears the blue '56 Years' fin marking with a large roundel, while its companion is in plain grey-green, and the propeller tips trace thin rings as they turn.
Three Hercules left RAF Brize Norton at 10am that day and flew a route taking in all four nations of the United Kingdom, returning in the early evening. The first RAF Hercules arrived at Marshall of Cambridge in December 1966, and the tail artwork counts the years from then to 2023. 47 Squadron flew the type in the tactical role, dropping and landing troops and stores onto short or rough strips.

Framing & Mounting
We provide a bright white mount as standard. If you prefer an alternative colour, please contact us. Depending on the print's size and orientation, we may occasionally need to adjust the mount's size or shape to ensure the best presentation.
Our frame selection is extensive, and due to website limitations not every style can be listed. If you have a particular colour or design in mind, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss available options.
