HMS Blackmore (L43) was an escort Destroyer of the Type II Hunt Class. Ordered by the Royal Navy three months after the outbreak of the Second World War, her keel was laid down by A. Stephen & Sons at Glasgow on the 10th of February 1941 under Admiralty Job Number J1479. The ship was later adopted by the civil community of Langport in Somerset during a successful Warship Week campaign. Following Royal Navy service, HMS Blackmore was sold to the Royal Danish Navy and renamed HDMS Esbern Snare.
