HMS Tireless (S88) was the third Trafalgar Class nuclear-powered submarine of the Royal Navy and the second vessel to bear the name. Launched in March 1984 and commissioned in October 1985, she served for nearly three decades. Her operational life included demanding deployments such as Arctic testing and under-ice navigation, demonstrating the capability and resilience of the Royal Navy’s submarine fleet. Originally scheduled for retirement in 2013, her service was extended before she was eventually decommissioned on 19 June 2014.
