About the Author
Lee writes the ship histories and fleet features for Hampshire Prints.
He served in the Royal Navy, and some of the modern fleet photographs featured on the site are his own, taken from the Portsmouth shoreline. Living close to the naval bases gives him regular opportunities to photograph ships as they enter and leave Portsmouth.
The archive articles are based on service records, contemporary accounts and photographs, with information researched and checked against multiple sources.
